Black ops 2 sound whoring7/4/2023 I'm pretty sure the covering on the wires of my pair have been invaluable in preventing breakage, so maybe look into getting the Black Ops II pair. ![]() The microphone itself has proved versatile (as has the rest of the headset) and survived a lot. They have independent chat and game volume sliders, along with a microphone on/off switch. I think they really shine in Infected, allowing you to hear the crunch of non-infected footsteps. They were $90 AUD when I bought them as Black Ops II was about to come out, and they've been excellent non-stop. My longest lasting pair (which is also my current one) is (I believe) the Turtle Beach PX11 headset (Black Ops II edition - Kilo, I think?). ![]() ![]() I haven't tried a great many headsets, so take what I suggest with a grain of salt:
